The Digital Learning Centers (DLC) provide in-person and online support to help you build the digital skills you need for college, work, and beyond. Through one-on-one assistance and our other resources, you'll gain confidence using technology, strengthen your digital literacy, and develop skills that support your academic and career success.

Want to build future-ready skills? The AI Literacy Microcredential helps you understand what AI is (and isn’t), how to use it effectively, and how to evaluate its impact in school, work, and everyday life. Through interactive lessons and real-world examples, you’ll learn how to:

• Choose and use AI tools responsibly
• Write effective prompts and evaluate outputs
• Protect your privacy and voice in an AI-driven world
• Apply AI skills across careers and industries

Students who complete the microcredential earn a digital badge they can showcase on their resume, LinkedIn, and job applications to stand out in college and career pathways.

For Faculty: Opportunities for Collaboration

We partner with faculty to support ethical and effective student use of Generative AI (GenAI) tools in the classroom. 

Available Workshop Topics:

• GenAI Ethics and Academic Integrity: Tailored to your syllabus and course policies
• AI Literacy and Critical Thinking: Helps students understand what GenAI can and can't do
• Prompt Engineering Basics: How students can write clear, effective prompts
• Responsible Use of AI Tools: Guidance on when and how to use GenAI appropriately
• Workshops can be scheduled in-person or via Zoom. Presentations are led by trained DLC staff and can be adapted for any discipline or course level.

For Students: GenAI Support and Workshops

The DLC helps students build practical skills using GenAI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini—no prior experience needed.

Students can attend live workshops or drop in for one-on-one support with a DLC staff member. All services are free and open to current Montgomery College students.
