Access and Completion Strategy

The Office of Access and Completion Strategy provides vision, leadership, and strategic
direction for institutional access and completion strategies aligned with the College’s
mission, Strategic Plan, Academic Master Plan, and Student Enrollment Plan. The office
works collaboratively with faculty, staff, administrators, governance bodies, schools,
community organizations, businesses, government agencies, higher ed institutions,
and other constituent groups to ensure that institutional approaches reflect the needs
of a comprehensive community college. Through strategic planning and partnerships,
the office advances institutional practices that promote flexibility, affordability,
clarity in student pathways, and equitable outcomes across diverse student populations.
The office also leads institution-wide efforts to identify structural, procedural,
and systemic barriers impacting student access and completion.
Office Responsibilities
The Office of Access and Completion Strategy provides leadership for:
- Online learning
- Open education and inclusive learning
- Academic scheduling, including credit, workforce development, and community education
- Instructional technologies
- Institutional alignment of student success strategies

MC Online provides students with flexible, high-quality learning opportunities through fully online degrees and certificates.

MC Open advances equitable access to education by promoting the adoption, creation, and use of open educational resources and other affordable and inclusive learning materials.

Academic Scheduling
The academic scheduling team coordinates strategic scheduling across all instructional areas, including credit, workforce development, and community education, to provide students and community members with flexible, predictable, and accessible learning opportunities.
