MC Confluence was a celebration of translation and interpretation that brought together translators, interpreters, educators, students, and others interested in the field to discuss the literary, practical, and philosophical dimensions of translation.

MC community members collaborated with the National Capital Area Translators Association (NCATA) to offer events to MC students and faculty.

The MC Confluence committee envisioned an annual event series related to translation and interpretation that offered workshops and presentations in the area of interpretation and translation, panel discussions, networking, and career development. The committee also provided the opportunity for students to get involved in the translation community, including an Open Mic celebration on International Translation Day.

The conference committee is grateful for the leadership and support of the MC Community including Prof. Jennifer Haydel, Dean of Humanities Area and Dr. Sarah Campbell, Vice President of Liberal Arts and Education.
